Cricket Named to the 2019 CB Insights Digital Health 150
Recognized for Achievements in Innovative Kidney Care Delivery

SAN FRANCISCO (October 2, 2019) — Cricket Health, a comprehensive kidney care provider with a personalized, evidence-based approach to managing care, today was named to CB Insights’s inaugural Digital Health 150 ranking. The list showcases the 150 most promising private digital health companies in the world and was revealed at the Future of Health event, a gathering of top executives across some of the largest healthcare institutions, startups, and investment firms.

“The current system of kidney care in the U.S. is in need of reform that improves health outcomes for patients, empowers providers to deliver the best care possible, and lowers costs for payers,” said Arvind Rajan, CEO and co-founder of Cricket Health. “We’re proud to be recognized for our innovative, multidisciplinary approach that helps patients live their best possible lives with chronic kidney disease or end-stage renal disease.”

The Digital Health 150 companies span the globe, from Canada, China, Germany, Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom, and are supported by more than 850 investors.

“From pharmaceuticals to patient care, technology is rapidly changing healthcare, and the Digital Health 150 showcases the 150 best startups spearheading innovation and change in the sector,” said CB Insights CEO Anand Sanwal. “It’s a privilege to use CB Insights’ data to identify and shine a light on these companies, and we look forward to tracking their success in 2019 and beyond.”

CB Insights selected the Digital Health 150 from hundreds of applications based on several factors including patent activity, investor quality, news sentiment analysis, proprietary Mosaic scores, market potential, partnerships, competitive landscape, team strength, and tech novelty. The Mosaic Score, based on CB Insights’ algorithm, measures the overall health and growth potential of private companies to help predict a company’s momentum.

Recognition on the Digital Health 150 list comes at a time of momentum for Cricket Health. The company has recently formed new partnerships with health plans, including Consortium Health Plans, a collaboration of Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans. Cricket recently added renowned health care experts, plan leaders, and veteran executives to its board of directors and executive team. Cricket’s recognition among digital health companies also highlights the recent focus on chronic kidney disease following announcements from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services aimed at changing the way kidney care is delivered and paid for in the U.S.
