San Francisco, CA – June 1, 2022 –  Cricket Health, the comprehensive kidney care provider with an evidence-based approach to managing kidney disease, is proud to announce that it has earned URAC accreditation as a digital health content provider. URAC is the independent leader in promoting health care quality by setting high standards for clinical practice, consumer  protections, performance measurement, operations infrastructure and risk management. By achieving this status, Cricket Health demonstrates commitment to quality care, enhanced processes, patient safety, and improved outcomes.

Cricket Health works with payers and providers to identify people with or at-risk for chronic kidney disease, acts early to slow progression of the disease, and delivers patient-centered, personalized kidney care through a multidisciplinary care team and stage-specific educational resources. For people who progress to kidney failure, Cricket Health helps them make informed choices about which treatment option is right for them and supports them through their care journey.

“Central to our mission at Cricket Health is empowering people with kidney disease to make informed decisions about their care, which is why we ensure they have the latest, evidence-based medical information at their fingertips,” said Cricket Health CEO Bobby Sepucha. “URAC accreditation is validation of our commitment to providing the highest quality care resources.”

Cricket Health delivers stage-specific, individualized care through the MyCricket™ comprehensive patient support program. Through MyCricket, individuals have a multidisciplinary care team, including nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, and trained peer mentors. They also have access to stage-specific educational resources and a peer community to share questions and information, all available 24/7.

“By earning Telehealth Accreditation from URAC, Cricket Health operates on the forefront of  health care delivery,” said URAC President and CEO Shawn Griffin, M.D. “Meeting URAC’s telehealth standards means Cricket Health provides more than a platform for transaction based appointments. It demonstrates that Cricket Health leverages technologies to advance  high quality care that promotes clinical best practices, consumer protections and care continuity  among patients and providers. As telehealth becomes a more widespread option, Cricket Health distinguishes itself as an  established, accredited organization committed to improving the health and well-being of the  people it serves.”
