How Rick benefited from Cricket Health’s approach to kidney care

Share this story:

Cricket Health patient Rick Greer – who was diagnosed with stage 4 chronic kidney disease – recently spoke out about his care journey. Before he found Cricket Health, Rick needed support managing his new diagnosis in a way that would slow the progression of his disease and enable him to live his best, healthiest life.

Rick found constant support from one of our Cricket Health nurses, Megan. Megan helped Rick learn more about chronic kidney disease, make healthy food choices, and find the right medication.

Our comprehensive care model – including patient education and peer support – helped Rick become eligible for a kidney transplant evaluation.

“Patients have access to a Cricket Health care team that includes a dietician, pharmacist, and social worker, all anchored by a nurse who acts as a guide to ensure that the patient’s questions are answered, and concerns are addressed,” said Tamara Thomas, senior clinical director at Cricket Health, as quoted in the story.
